The KingDraw App is the world's first,
professional mobile chemical structure editor. Powerful built with rich
chemical drawing elements, KingDraw can greatly improve the speed and accuracy
of drawing chemical structures. What’s more, all the services are free now.
For many chemists who are new to KingDraw,
it may be a little unfamiliar to see so many features when opening the drawing
board. Today we will introduce in detail the various functions on the
sketchpad, you will find that KingDraw is really easy~~
KingDraw App Drawing Board Overview
Open the KingDraw App, click the plus button
to create a new file, and you'll see the drawing board. Here are all the functions
to draw the chemical structure. The drawing board is divided into four
functional areas: up, down, left, and right. Next, we will show you the
functions of each area in detail.
Upper functional area - common operating
tool area
The upper toolbar of KingDraw App are
mainly includes common functions used in drawing.
1. Return: Close the current drawing board
page and return to the main interface;
2. File naming: Modify the current file
name;
3. Save: Save the current file;
4. Save as: Save the current file as other
common formats. The current version supports conversion of king, .cdx, .mol,
.molv3000, .png formats;
5. Eraser: Erase the contents on the
drawing board, long press to switch to the”Clear” tool
6. Color tool: Set up the color to the
specified position of the chemical structure;
7. Alignment tool: Set up the alignment and
stacking position for the specified chemical structure;
8. Box selection tool: Select all or part
of the chemical structure for other operations; long press to switch to the
“lasso” tool;
9. View properties: Click to view the
chemical structure properties on the drawing board;
10. Copy tool: Copy/paste the selected chemical
structure;
11.ACS1996 drawing standard: Click to
switch the "ACS1996 drawing standard" format;
12. Cancellation: Cancel the previous
operation;
13. Redo: Resume the previous step to
cancel the operation;
14. Full Screen Tool: Click to enter or
exit full screen.
Click on the [···] in the toolbar to see
more tools.
15. Transfer IUPAC name to structure: Input
IUPAC name can be automatically converted to the corresponding chemical
structure;
16. Transfer structure to IUPAC name : Input
chemical structure formula, converted into the corresponding IUPAC name by one
button;
17. 3D mode translation: Click to convert
the current chemical structure to 3D mode;
18. Grid line: Add grid line;
19. Share/Save button: Save the structure
to your album in .Png format, or share the chemical structure with your
friends;
20. Using Help: Click to view the using
help;
21. Settings: Set up general functions of the
drawing board;
Lower functional area – drawing tools
area
(Slide the toolbar left and right to see
more structure drawing tools)
The lower functional area is a collection
of some common structural drawing tools -
Includes single bond, double bond, triple bond,
arrow tool, solid wedge button, hollow wedge button, virtual wedge button, text
tool, bold single button, long-chain tool, folded chain tool, cyclopropane
template, cyclobutane template , cyclopentane template, cyclohexane template,
cycloheptane template, cyclooctane template, cyclopentadiene ring template,
benzene ring template, charge tool, flow chart tool, bracket tool.
Left functional area– elements selection
area
The left side of the drawing board is a
list of commonly used elements, which contains all the elements in the periodic
table of elements.
Right functional area - common tool area
The right functional area includes 4 fast
operation tools, as follows:-
1. Gesture drawing tool: Draw structure by
gestures;
2.Group drawing tool: Click to add common group
and support custom additions;
3. Beautify tool: Beautify structures
intelligently, support repeatedly beautifying. Be careful with this move, you
can use undo to recover your last move;
4. Move/Zoom tool: Two-finger move or zoom
the drawing board;.
